<description>I was getting similar messages on my new Windows 7 machine:

Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\scripts. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\software files. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))

I just created the missing folders, &quot;scripts&quot; and &quot;software files&quot; in my case, and the backup completed successfully.
I have no idea why it was trying to back up these locations but creating empty folders was the easiest solution for me.
