One of the goals for the new blog design and layout was to bridge the gap between Google Buzz and this blog.
The Problem - My blog posts and Buzz comments lived on two different worlds:
I found it messy that I would get great comments in Google Buzz that users wouldn't get while reading on my blog.
Example:
- I create and publish a blog post, http://www.andrewcmaxwell.com/2010/06/updating-my-blog-with-a-new-design-and-features/
- Once this blog post has been published it will automatically feed into Google Buzz - creating this URL http://www.google.com/buzz/amaxwell01/QEhMD2HHfV9/
At first this was great because I got more comments on each blog post thanks to Google Buzz, but after a while I wanted a way for readers on my blog to see what people were saying in Google Buzz about the topic.
The Solution (Part 1):
At the bottom of each blog post you will now see a new link and icon that says "Buzz Post". This links to the static Buzz post that gets created as soon as I publish the article on my blog.
